City Council gets look at $19.8 million parking deck for River District
From GoDanRiver.com: A six-floor, $19.8 million plan for a downtown parking deck was presented to Danville City Council on Tuesday.
Ralph Mills, with SKA Consulting Engineers, said the structure came with several needed features — including commercial space along Main Street and Union Street, architecture consistent with surrounding buildings and a reproduction of a mural on the current property.
The deck would feature 618 spaces on six floors and 12,000 square feet of commercial space. Two elevators would exit to a Main Street exit and another single elevator to Spring Street.
