Helping out our neighbors after recent tornados

SKA is joining with others in the community to reach out to families and students impacted by the recent tornados. SKA challenges other architects and engineering firms in the Triad to either give to victims, help out damaged schools, or pull up their sleeves and volunteer in clean up.

The Interactive Resource Center (IRC, a day center for the homeless) is seeking donations for victims with a goal to raise $1,500 per family to assist with damage, rent, food and other basic needs. SKA is sponsoring several families and also providing school supplies to Erwin Montessori Elementary School (one of the schools that is being relocated for the remainder of the school year due to damages).

If your company would prefer to provide volunteers to assist in clean up, the City of Greensboro’s Contact Center is coordinating volunteers: Click here
