SKA celebrates with Hunter Elementary at ribbon-cutting ceremony
Community leaders joined with Hunter students, faculty and guests to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of Hunter Elementary’s new school. The project began January 2016 and completed June 2017. The new school which safely houses all students under the same roof, spans 88,635 sf and features spacious 21st century classrooms, media center, cafeteria and gymnasium. Students were great greeters and escorts for guests as they arrived. Other students lead the group in The Hunter Pledge, provided the history of the school, and even did a Character Trait Rap. Elizabeth Mayhand, Kindergarten Teacher and former student of Hunter, shared her reflections. Bettie Moore the most tenured staff member cut the ribbon. We celebrate along with the great students of Hunter Elementarythis momentous occasion.
