SKA Consulting Engineers Continues Aggressive Growth Plan with Fourteen New Hires across Regional Offices

02_16 SKA modified logo 2GREENSBORO, NC (July 18, 2016) – SKA Consulting Engineers, Inc., is pleased to announce the addition of fourteen new employees to its Greensboro, NC headquarters and regional offices.

Derl Curry joined as a field technician in the Greensboro Building Solutions Group, his role involves performing building envelope tests, specifically water testing and investigation of the test results.

Joining the Charlotte office is Timothy Dinsmore as an engineering intern, he is a graduate of UNCC with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and completing a M.S. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in structures.

Scott Singleton joined the Greensboro Building Solutions Group as a technical specialist and has 12 years of experience with investigation, design and contract administration services related to building envelopes.

James Wiggins serves as a designer in the Charlotte Building Solutions Department; his role is to perform building envelope investigations and diagnosis, project management and building component testing.

Caleb Martin joined the Asheville Structural Group and is a structural engineering intern and has a B.S. and a M.S. in Civil Engineering (Structural concentration) from UNC Charlotte.

The Greensboro MEPFP Group acquired Jim Maloney as a senior project manager; Jim’s responsibilities include design of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems.

John Richards recently joined the Charlotte office as an engineering technician and will assist with field inspections and reporting.

The Charlotte office acquired Tilak Bhonagiri to assist with litigation research. Talik received a Master in Construction and Facilities Management from UNCC; Interior Design degree in India and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering in India.

The Asheville office brought in Larry Jones to fill a technician role; Larry has twenty years’ experience as a technician/CADD operator.

Erica Barber joined the Greensboro’s Structural Group as an engineering intern after receiving a B.S. in Civil Engineering from UNC Charlotte and currently completing a M.S. in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering concentration.

Katherine Green joined the Greensboro Accounting Group as an accounts payable specialist.

Ronald Lawrence is a senior electrical engineer and will assist the Greensboro MEPFP Group; his background includes work with local engineering firms as well as a building contractor.

Nathalia Villa, a structural engineering intern, joined the Asheville office and has a BS in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.

Gary S Corns, joins SKA’s Greensboro Corporate office as Director of Marketing and Business Development. A strategic growth planner, creative developer and big-picture thinker, Gary brings 30 years of marketing and relationship building experience to lead SKA’s dynamic marketing team.
