Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts Groundbreaking

SKA Consulting Engineers Continues Work On $78 million PAC.

The long-awaited ground-breaking ceremony for the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts took place on April 26th and SKA Consulting Engineers attended in full force to support this major project that will affect the downtown Greensboro and surrounding Triad area. While the groundbreaking was symbolic in nature, it marks a milestone of progress on the $78 million performing arts center.

“I am just so honored to be here today at the site of what will be a state-of-the-art and multiuse facility that this city desperately needs,” Steven Tanger, the president and chief executive officer of Tanger Factory Outlet Centers and namesake for the new arts center, expressed to the large crowd gathered at the job site. “We no longer have to drive to Durham or to Charlotte, they are going to come to Greensboro.”

The 3,000 seat, 65,000 square foot fully flexible arts center is scheduled to open Summer of 2019.
