Appalachian State University River Street Parking Deck and Pedestrian Bridge

SKA was the Engineer of Record for the repairs at the River Street Parking Garage. SKA prepared remedial design documents, assisted in the bidding process, and performed construction administration services during the work. Previously, SKA conducted an engineering inspection and condition assessment for Appalachian State University to determine the general condition of the garage, characterize defects, provide opinions on the expected useful life of the structure, discuss recommended repairs required, and provide schematic repair types. SKA also provided design and construction administration for the new pedestrian bridge extension from Rivers Street across Boone Creek to connect the new dining facility on the Appalachian State University campus.
