SKA and the City of Asheville have worked together on numerous projects for the past forty years. Part of this relationship includes projects specifically at City Hall since 1980.

Due to extensive moisture intrusion of the exterior building envelope, the City of Asheville was required to close numerous offices in the existing Asheville City Hall. SKA was retained to perform an extensive condition survey of the exterior façade to attempt to find relief to the adverse conditions. Upon completion of the survey, which included various construction materials including the original terracotta tile, SKA was once again retained by the city to find a remedy for the various causes of the moisture intrusions.
