Bank of America Corporate Center

Charlotte, North Carolina

Close

The Bank of America Corporate Center towers over Charlotte, North Carolina, at 871 feet and 60 stories tall. Designated as the 174th tallest building in the world and 31st tallest building in the United States, the structure remains the tallest building in North Carolina, as well as the tallest building between Atlanta and Philadelphia.

When the 1992 building began exhibiting symptoms of deficiencies, SKA performed an on-site field mock up at a window location and surrounding granite panels, which consisted of installing new sealants and primers and performing various joint preparations for determination of the design requirements. After the testing completed, SKA prepared remediation design documents, including technical specifications, details, and drawings for the sealant replacement and window gasket repair and replacement on the exterior façade.
