First Presbyterian Church Winston-Salem

Located in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina, this historic church facility exhibited signs of façade deterioration and asked SKA to perform a comprehensive condition survey of the stone masonry walls, limestone copings and other limestone wall components, limestone window surrounds, steep slope slate roofing, EPDM low slope roofing and asphalt built-up roofing of the 1974 sanctuary addition. SKA subsequently provided repair designs, contract administration and construction monitoring for an extensive two-phase renovation of the main sanctuary, including repair of the limestone façade and stone masonry veneer, steeple repair, and steep slate roof and low slope roof repairs and replacements.
