Major Electronics Manufacturer Plating and Warehouse Addition

Work included General Construction, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Piping, Fire Protection, and Electrical work for Plating and Warehouse Additions. The project included:

• The addition of 90 parking spaces
• A new warehouse addition (approximately 35,000 square feet)
• A new plating area addition (approximately 25,600 square feet – Main Floor; 3,100 square feet – Basement; 5,020 square feet – Mezzanine)
• Removal and relocation of existing air compressors and associated filters, refrigerated dryers, fluid cooler, and pumps
• Removal and relocation of existing hot water boilers, and associated vents and pumps
• Removal and relocation of existing air compressor
• New distribution piping for compressed air, process chilled water, process hot water, natural gas, DI water, and process piping as indicated in the contract documents

A critical element of renovation projects is to maintain the Owner’s manufacturing operations in service while completing the specified scope of work.  Any interruption of plant utility services must be scheduled and coordinated with the Owner.  Construction sequences are included in the contract documents which outline the basic schedule for each part of the project.

SKA also provided design and construction administration throughout the entire project.
