Renaissance on Charleston Harbor

The Renaissance on Charleston Harbor is a master planned multifamily development, overlooking the historic city of Charleston and Charleston Harbor – the fourth largest shipping port in the United States. Residences include two and three-bedroom configurations, ranging from 2,044 square feet to over 4,100 heated square feet, and the property features a library, massage therapy, caterer’s kitchen, cardio theatre, guest suites, manicured terraced garden, harbor-side Italian Renaissance designed pool, and the River Walk promenade.

This harbor-side condominium complex consists of two eight-story, classic southern-style buildings with a total of 99 units. SKA was the engineer-of-record for the repairs at the Renaissance on Charleston Harbor, providing engineering investigative services, construction documents, and construction administration services for the rehabilitation of the brick, stucco and windows.

SKA performed full-time construction administration services during the repair work, which addressed the water penetration through the exterior brick, stucco and windows. It also included structural modifications to adequately support the brick veneer, as well as repairing some post-tension cables that were damaged during construction.
