Richmond Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Envelope AssessmentCloseSKA was honored to perform roof and facade condition assessments on 4 buildings at the campus of the Cathedral built in circa 1903. The key assemblies reviewed included four (4) copper-based roof configurations, a Spanish tile roof, a single ply EPDM roof, and the limestone and brick masonry facades. SKA produced a detailed report outlining a phased construction approach for recommended repairs at critical conditions, considering accessibility and mobilization costs. To add benefit for the facility, SKA documented the history of previous renovation work, provided by the current director, and described the various building materials including their typical durability and maintenance schedules to allow future campus employees to make informed decisions with regards to their facilities’ repairs. |
