The Southern Education Foundation is an 80-year-old structure listed on the National Historic Registry. The work entailed repairing the mass masonry walls and roofing elements damaged during a tornado event. The scope of work included selected removal and reinstallation of masonry and window elements, installation of window and parapet flashings. SKA’s scope of work included structural engineering and waterproofing. All work required approval from the Historic Registry.The project received the Atlanta Urban Design Award.
