SKA’s history with Western Carolina University’s football stadium covers a span of twenty-four years beginning in 1990. SKA performed a comprehensive condition survey and materials evaluation of this college facility and subsequently designed repairs that were accomplished in two phases over approximately five years. In 2002, SKA conducted another condition assessment and evaluation for repairs that took place in 2003. Repairs included coatings, replacement of seating sections, stairs, rails, and sections of concrete slabs, repairs to expansion joints, welding, cracks, and much more. Most recently, SKA’s Asheville Structural Group performed a condition survey in 2014.
