Jeff has 50+ years experience in the construction industry, including precast/prestressed manufacturing and building restoration, specializing in masonry. He is a nationally-recognized expert in building envelope evaluation, repair, and service life extension and has been active in ASTM and SWRI Institute. Jeff founded and was CEO of Masonry Preservation Services, Inc. (MPS) for 38 years. He helped preserve and evaluate structures including Fallingwater, The Whitehouse, The Pennsylvania State Capital, Penn State Old Main, and many other important historic structures. Working as a contractor for SKA Consulting Engineers, MPS completed many projects including Arden Presbyterian Church (Arden, NC), First Presbyterian Church (Winston-Salem, NC), Harbor Court Complex (Baltimore, MD), Jefferson Standard Building (Greensboro, NC), and The Reynolds Building, (Winston-Salem, NC). Jeff has three books which he co-authored and published with ASTM, two of which are available on their website: Building Walls Subject to Water Intrusion and Accumulation: Lessons from the Past and Recommendations for the Future, Building Facade Maintenance, Repair, and Inspection, and Water Leakage Through Building Facades.
