Lorna is a senior technician in the Building Solutions Group where she is actively involved in the remediation design process. Lorna’s first career (25 years) was in the textile industry in sales and marketing and product development and production control. When her position in the textile industry moved overseas, she decided to go back to school and attended Guilford Tech Community College to learn CAD Drafting. Lorna went on to pursue an associate’s degree in architectural technology and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She feels that she was raised in a constant renovation project, as her father would buy old homes (pre-1950) and renovate them. They lived in each new project, and once completed, they would move to the next. Lorna has a passion for old buildings and textiles, the history behind them, and how they were constructed. She enjoys hunting old treasures, refinishing old furniture, and sewing in her free time.
