Maria Mercado-Celin
Engineering Intern
Maria assists the Structural Engineering Department in the Greensboro office on tasks such as the completion of structural designs and drawings, creation of project documents, review of shop drawings and on-site inspections. She received her bachelor’s in civil engineering at Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia, where she worked on the design of Metal Building Systems, before pursuing her master’s in Structural Engineering and Materials from Virginia Tech. In her free time, Maria enjoys trying new restaurants and cuisines with her husband, and all activities that include a good chat with friends.
