Principal Engineer | Structural Services Manager

Ralph’s primary responsibilities include staff resource planning and management, financial planning and management, project management, marketing and project acquisition, quality and training. He has served as lead design professional on several multi-disciplinary projects for governmental agencies and for private industry. Ralph’s design experience includes classroom facilities at all educational levels, parking decks, athletic and recreational facilities, office buildings, and industrial facilities. His experience also includes investigation and repair projects, peer reviews, and condition surveys. He has significant experience in the design of reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
Ralph has also been highly engaged at SKA’s corporate-level, serving on a number of operational committees. As a member of the CAD Committee, Ralph led the process for the development of standards for CAD drawing production and electronic file management that are currently used company wide. CAD standards were implemented for each engineering discipline through a network based custom computer program that controls CAD drawing appearance and automates repetitive tasks for quality control and efficiency.
As a member of the Strategic Planning Committee, he was one of six committee members selected by the board of directors to develop a corporate strategic plan under the guidance of a business planning consultant. Ralph was also assigned to lead a committee to develop a company wide efficiency plan.
Ralph is active in his church and volunteers with religious faith-based organizations and service projects to benefit the needy. Ralph met the girl who would be his wife in 8th grade, and they have three children. He enjoys camping with his family, hunting, and fishing with his son. He and his wife stay fit by jogging regularly in the morning before work.
