SKA enjoyed recent UNCG Nursing Building Ribbon Cutting

SKA staff enjoyed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nursing Instruction Building at UNC Greensboro recently. SKA provided structural design and building envelope engineering for this new 180,000 square foot, state-of-the-art teaching and research facility. SKA also provided building envelope commissioning and special inspections. The new facility includes classrooms, research suites, and a community engagement center; skylights are visible from the first floor through the five story atrium; the rooftop features a patio, solar panel array, and views of the surrounding campus; electric vehicle charging stations flank the west side of the building; and a stepped seating area connects the main lobby entry and multi-purpose lecture hall. We are thrilled to be part of this amazing project with a great team working together to benefit UNCG nursing students for decades to come: LS3P, Stewart, Rodgers, AEI, Timmons Group, Smith Group, DPR, UNCG, Kleinfelder.
