SKA provided building envelope engineering services associated with the replacement of six (6) large louvers located within the existing curtain wall system that were leaking into the Library Building. SKA provided mock-up testing, design services, construction administration services, and quality assurance testing for the new louver system. SKA’s project scope included evaluating and water testing various flashing assemblies and blank-off panel installations in an off-site mock-up louver system installed within a curtain wall frame. Based on the results of the mock-up testing and from visual assessment of the existing conditions, a flashing design and blank-off panel design was provided to the Contractor. During construction, SKA visited the site to perform construction observations to confirm the louver and flashings were installed as designed. After construction was complete, quality assurance water testing was performed on the louvers.
