SKA designed this new 100,000 sf four-story structural steel framed structure with an articulated footprint. Envisioned by the University of Virginia Foundation as the epicenter for the north UVA Research Park and designed as a science research office building. It is the fourth and final building at the heart of the Town Center District. The Biocomplexity Institute and Initiative is now located on Levels 3 & 4; SKA designed modifications of the Level 4 framing on an aggressive schedule to address vibration requirements for sensitive equipment as required by the Institute.
